Due to the policies development recently and the rising cost of fossil fuels, (particularly natural gas ) ,62% of the electricity in the US will come from renewable energy by 2040, according to the brief report of the second quarter in 2022 sent by S&P.

The new power generation of the US will mostly come from wind power generation by 2030,although the price of natural gas is increasing rapidly and there will be some short-term gains from coal-fired power, the analyst of S&P recently said.

Steve Piper ,head of energy research at S& P,said although the market of storage battery is growing,it isn’t in the stage of highly development. It remains to be seen that which new generation sources will benefit most from The Inflation Reduction Act passed recently.

The Inflation Reduction Act may have great potential to drive clean energy deployment, and the US has already on track to dramatically accelerate its energy transition.

45% generation power in the US will come from renewable energy by 2023,and it will be 62% by 2040.According to the forecast of this company last year,46% generation power in the US will come from renewable energy by 2040.
