Malaysia Plans to Adopt 40% of Its Electricity from Renewable Energy by 2035

Datuk Ali Biju, Deputy Minister of Malaysia Energy and Nature Sources Department, currently said that Malaysia plans to adopt 40% of its electricity from renewable energy by 2035, adding to the current installation rate of renewable energy 23% in this country.

He indicated that the transformation to low-carbon energy systems on Malaysia electricity supply ,it the guidance of Malaysia Renewable Energy Development Roadmap Document(MyRER).

He said,”the key point of this roadmap is increasing the generation share of  renewable energy (photovoltaic generation,hydroelectric generation,biomass and biogas ) in Malaysia electricity supply systems through a balanced and sustainable approach.

  He said,the clean energy swift caused the adding investment in electric industry of more than 53 billions ringgit(about 11.9 billion dollars) by 2035. It will create 47,000 new jobs for Malaysia, and reduce 60% carbon emission.He sent a report titled”Shaping Asia’s Energy Future”during the current the second annual Clean Energy and New Energy Forum.
